I was deeply disappointed and hurt to be kicked out of what used to be my favorite breakfast spot today. I am a person with a disability and had my service dog with me. Despite my best efforts to explain the law (and even showing it to the staff on my phone), the management insisted that I could not stay without a "registration" or "license." There is no such thing as a registration or license for a service dog. They did offer to let me dine outside, which obviously I declined FACT: Under the ADA and Florida Statute 413.08, service dog registration is NOT required and is often a scam. Staff are only allowed to ask what task the dog performs. Claiming a "health inspector" said otherwise is legally incorrect—service dogs are exempt from health code restrictions that apply to pets. This was a clear violation of my civil rights. It’s 2026; there is no excuse for this level of ignorance and discrimination. If you use a service animal, stay away.
On our way home (Buffalo, NY?) we were recommended to try this restaurant. We are glad we did, the employees were friendly and courteous and the food was amazing. We would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks Nik
